The former Stake Engine now supports releases for selected operators, with developer revenue shares varying between Stake exclusives and games distributed across the wider network.
Engine, formerly known as Stake Engine, has opened its distribution network to third-party casino operators, expanding a platform previously centred on content for Stake.
The company’s website now states that operator integrations are available. Engine had previously indicated a December 11 launch, while its distribution documentation lists October 13 as the network’s opening date, bringing availability forward by almost two months.
The expansion gives developers a route to release games beyond Stake and allows operators to access Engine content through a single integration.
Studios Can Select Their Distribution Partners
Engine’s documentation allows studios to offer games across the whole network or select individual operators. Under the selected-operator option, developers can remove Stake from the release.
This enables studios to build content for specific casino partners without a mandatory Stake launch. However, an operator must agree to accept and release the game.
Developers therefore need to distinguish between making a title available through Engine and securing distribution. The platform’s documentation says each operator decides which games it accepts and when they launch.
The change broadens Engine’s role from a development and publishing route tied to one casino into infrastructure connecting studios with multiple potential customers.
Revenue Shares Depend on Distribution Choice
The developer payment terms distinguish between Stake-exclusive games and network releases.
Under the actual-GGR profit-sharing model, titles released exclusively on Stake earn developers 10% of gross gaming revenue. Games offered to the network earn 5% on each participating operator, including Stake.
That means the higher Stake rate applies to exclusives. A network-distributed game does not retain the 10% rate simply because it is also available on Stake.
Engine additionally lists a Guaranteed payment model based on expected GGR, with rates of 7.5% for Stake exclusives and 3.75% for network releases.
GGR represents stakes less player winnings, so these percentages apply to a different measure from total betting turnover.
Existing Ecosystem Supplies the Starting Point
According to Engine, more than 1,100 creators were earning through the platform as of September 2026. Games built on its infrastructure had processed more than 9.7 billion bets and $23 billion in turnover by that point.
Those figures describe activity accumulated before the broader operator rollout. They do not measure adoption by newly connected casinos.
Engine separates its offering into Engine Studio, where developers build and publish games, and Engine Integration, through which casino operators access content. The company presents the operator service as a standardised arrangement combining one integration, one contract and one invoice.
