Philippines Overtakes Brazil in Blask’s iGaming Search Rankings

Philippine search demand rose 87% year on year in September, although Brazil retained a higher projected revenue benchmark and a larger licensed-market share.

The Philippines ranked first for iGaming search demand among countries tracked by Blask in September 2026, moving ahead of Brazil and India.

The change followed eight months in which Brazilian search demand consistently exceeded Philippine levels. In September, the Philippine Blask Index increased by 8% from August and 87% compared with the same month in 2025.

Brazil moved in the opposite direction, recording a 9% monthly decline and a 31% year-on-year fall. The combination of Philippine growth and Brazilian contraction reversed their positions in the search rankings.

Three Brands Account for Most Philippine Searches

PlayTime, Casino Plus and BingoPlus together attracted more than half of Philippine iGaming search demand during September, according to Blask.

That concentration means a small group of brands accounted for the majority of measured consumer attention as the country moved into first place. The published figures do not provide an individual percentage breakdown for each of the three operators.

Blask describes its index as a measure of demand for iGaming brands built from normalised search data. It tracks changes in search interest across brands and countries, providing a separate indicator from gambling expenditure or operator revenue.

Brazil Retains Higher Projected Revenue

Despite losing its search lead, Brazil’s September Competitive Earning Baseline, or CEB, was 53% higher than the Philippine figure.

CEB is Blask’s projected revenue metric. Licensed operators accounted for 97% of Brazil’s estimated total, compared with 62% in the Philippines.

These percentages describe the licensed share of the revenue benchmark. They do not represent the proportion of players using licensed platforms or the share of searches captured by those businesses. The September results therefore show different leaders for measured attention and projected earnings.

September Data Precede Full Brazilian Shutdown

The ranking shift coincided with the introduction of Brazil’s betting prohibition on September 25. The measure stopped new deposits and required licensed betting websites and applications to become unavailable from October 6.

September’s figures consequently cover the opening stage of the restrictions, before the October shutdown could be reflected in a full month of search data.

The timing provides context for Brazil’s decline, but the monthly comparison does not establish how much of that decline resulted from the prohibition.
