Flashscore Launches AI Presenter AILA for Sports Content
Sophie Bennett

Sports statistics service Flashscore has introduced a new virtual presenter named AILA, developed in partnership with Czech AI studio Fameplay, according to a LinkedIn announcement by the company. AILA will appear in product and editorial announcements across all of Flashscore's markets, as well as in dedicated shows and statistics breakdowns produced alongside sports data provider Opta.
The virtual presenter is being rolled out for permanent use following what Flashscore described as a successful testing period during the 2026 football World Cup. No additional technical or launch-date details were disclosed in the announcement.
The introduction of AILA reflects a broader move among sports media and data platforms toward AI-generated presenters for recurring content formats such as statistics recaps and match previews, where automation can support consistent output across multiple markets and languages. By pairing the virtual presenter with Opta's data feeds, Flashscore appears positioned to scale personalized or localized sports content without a proportional increase in production resources, though how audiences respond to an AI-driven format over time will likely shape the scope of its future use across the platform's editorial output.
