SiGMA World Moves Rome Exhibition From November to May in 2027

SiGMA Group is moving its Rome event to May to spread major European exhibitions more evenly across the year, with exact dates still unconfirmed.

SiGMA World’s Rome exhibition will move from November to May in 2027, organiser SiGMA Group announced on November 5, the final day of this year’s event.

The group said the decision followed feedback from clients, exhibitors and industry partners seeking a more balanced European events calendar. Its official announcement confirms the month but does not specify dates.

More Space Between European Exhibitions

The change is intended to create intervals of approximately four months between the major industry gatherings in Barcelona, Rome and Lisbon.

ICE Barcelona is scheduled for January 18-20, 2027, while SBC Summit will take place in Lisbon on September 21-23. A May slot places SiGMA World between those events, giving participating businesses more time to prepare campaigns, allocate budgets and arrange meetings.

The current autumn schedule leaves a shorter gap. SBC Summit 2026 closed on October 1, followed by the opening of SiGMA World in Rome on November 2. ICE’s next edition begins less than three months later.

SiGMA founder Eman Pulis said the group had listened to industry requests and taken the decision in the sector’s interests. The organiser described reducing event fatigue as a central objective.

Outdoor Footprint Set to Triple

SiGMA also plans to use the spring timing to expand the event’s outdoor areas.

The organiser said more favourable weather would support a threefold increase in its outdoor footprint, providing additional space for networking, hospitality and entertainment. This remains a plan for the 2027 edition rather than a completed expansion.

Exact Dates Await Confirmation

The reported May 25-27 window has not been confirmed in SiGMA’s official announcement. The organiser said it would release its full 2027 World Tour calendar soon and was also reviewing the timing of other international events.
